Hello, welcome to Heron Design. I’m Lydia.
I’m a mum of two little ones, and after six years living in London, I recently moved back home to Wicklow.

When we moved into our first house last year, I spent weeks searching online for a locally made headboard where I could choose my own fabric and shape. I couldn’t find anything that really felt like me. So, with the help of my parents, who have decades of hands-on experience in woodwork and craftmanship, we decided to make our own. That was the start of Heron Design.

Heron Design is for people who want to put their own stamp on their home, and choose a bespoke piece that completes the room.

Every headboard is handmade to order in our Wicklow workshop using quality, natural fabrics chosen by you. We’re a small family business with big ideas, and we’ll be adding more pieces to the collection over time.
