How long will my headboard take to arrive?
Each Heron Design headboard is made to order in our Wicklow workshop.
Our current lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. We always aim to complete orders sooner where possible, but every piece is carefully built and upholstered by hand to ensure a high quality finish.
If you are working to a particular date, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate where we can.
Can I choose my own fabric?
Yes, we are happy to discuss using your own fabric.
If you would like to send fabric to us or talk through options, please email info@herondesign.ie before placing your order. We will need to confirm that the fabric is suitable for upholstery and advise on the quantity required for your chosen headboard size.
We are always glad to guide you through the decision.
What fabrics do you offer?
We currently offer a small, curated selection of plain and patterned linens from Linwood. The collection has been chosen to reflect our aesthetic and to work beautifully across our headboard designs.
If you have something specific in mind, we are happy to discuss sourcing alternatives or working with fabric you supply.
Can I order fabric swatches?
Yes, we offer fabric swatches for a small charge to cover ordering and postage.
If you would like to request swatches, please email info@herondesign.ie with the fabrics you’re considering and your postal address, and we’ll let you know the cost and next steps.
The cost of swatches can be redeemed against a headboard order.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Ireland only.
As a small family business, we are growing steadily and hope to extend shipping further afield in the near future. If you are based outside Ireland and would like to enquire, please contact us and we can explore possible options.
How are the headboards mounted?
All headboards come with the appropriate fixings, materials and clear instructions for wall mounting.
If you have any questions during installation, we are always available to help.
Are your headboards handmade?
Yes. Every Heron Design headboard is built and upholstered by hand in our Wicklow workshop. We focus on small batch, made to order production to ensure quality, durability and attention to detail.
